You all say it perfectly. She is the best. A true treasure. SHE DEFINES WHAT IT IS TO BE A SINGER AND AN ENTERTAINER. Oh and a lovely human being.
TO BARBARA with lots of love.

Superb !!!!

I had the privilege of seeing Barbara perform with Wally Harper many times. What a great marriage of two brilliant musicians. Anything she sings is an immediate classic. My all-time favorite!

In 1990 I suggested to promoters TKO that they should bring Barbara Cook over for one or two selected concert performance. Sadly, I was told 'Nobody knows her in the UK'. Two months later another promoter brought her to London for a concert at the The Barbican, seem to recall the show sold out in a matter of hours!
I personally would've loved to hear her sing with Edmund Hockridge.....wonderful!
I think 'In Between Goodbyes' was composed by Miss Cook's pianist Wally Harper!

Yes, I agree with your posts above. Barbara Cook is the best in the Biz. I truly love her and always will...

None greater. Her voice is hauntingly beautiful, and only gets better decade after decade.

Thanks stargaz! Fortunately she seems timeless, but nice to be able to pinpoint her in her long career.

What a marvellous performer - I guess here in her mid-70s. At the end of 2007 she did a sell-out concert in London to celebrate her 80th birthday. A nice song that I have never heard before. Please keep posting these treasures.
