This is from near the end of their set opening up for the Grateful Dead. This incarnation of Traffic consisted of Steve Winwood, Jim Capaldi, Randall Bramblett, Rosko Gee, Michael McEvoy and Walfredo Reyes Jr. I have the entire concert from the video line feed. If you are interested in the complete show send me a message.

  • IT RAINED LIKE A BITCH, DURING CHANGE OVER TO THE GRATEFUL DEAD, IT WAS VERY COLD AND STILL HAD THE TIME LIFE. WE TAKE THE TARPS THE GROUND AND PUT THEM OVER OUR HEADS(THE CROWD). DEAD STARTED LATE DUE TO THE RAIN AND EQUIPMENT WAS SHORTING OUT. IT WAS CRAZY UNDER THEM TARPS TRIPPIN' AND BLAMIN'. pLEASE oUT

  • I'm in the front row! As soon as the Dead got on stage it friggin' poured very cold rain very hard!

  • To get to see/hear the legendary TRAFFIC was most fortunate. That it was an outdoor show made it the most fantastic show ever (for me and lots of others). The magical thunderstorm that came up when Traffic transitioned with the Dead was sensational. The wind, the lightening, the thunder, the rain, and the MUSIC, made for an incredible show. Did you get your green 'Plant Trees' bumper sticker that my buddy gave out in the parking lot?

  • Is this video available? Does it include the Dead as well?

  • I was there.

  • I was trippin so hard at this show..lol white blotter!

  • I cannot believe I came across this footage. This was also my first show and it was magical in so many ways. Thanks for the post, which is going right to my favorites. Long live the Dead!

  • I was at this concert too and the music was great! Thanks for posting this as it brings back some awesome memories.

  • My first dead show..never thought the rain would stop..what an amazing memory.

  • I was there to... Dead opened up with RAIN and ended with Mighty Quinn... It was very appropriate because the show started with a rain storm I think was brought on by traffic playing rain maker...then dead played rain and by the end of the night we were all chilly from being soaked they finished with Quinn the Eskimo... Man the memories!!!!!!!!
