Did you use plain beeswax or beeswax with damar crystals?

I love embedding things into my encaustic paintings! I am always collecting all sorts of things that catch my eye for later use.

this was a great demo to watch. I cant wait to try to add material to my wax creations!!!

very interesting use of natural bees wax , yet i wonder what will happen on a hot summer day?. i guess you live in a cool climate

@naomilimo You can still work with beeswax on a hot summer day. The melting point of beeswax is around 144℉, so it has to be extremely hot and you have to be in direct sunlight for the beeswax technique not to work. We recommend for beeswax that you have a fan running in your studio for ventilation anyway, and that will also help the beeswax to set. Hope you'll try it!
