The Kenya police force remains one of the most corrupt institution in the East African region, according to the 2011 East African bribery index. A report released today (Friday) places the Tanzania police as the most corrupt at 80.85, followed by the Kenya police at 81% with the Burundi and Uganda police forces taking up the third and fourth slots at 77.8 and 74.1%. The Rwanda police force is the least corrupt at 21%. And that obviously means the police force remains the most corrupt institution in the country. Kenya though has recorded a slight improved ranking in the overall ranking, falling from the third to the fourth position.
THE KENYAN POLICE FORCE NEEDS TO BE UNDER AN INDEPENDENT REGULATORY BODY FREE FROM POLITICAL N EXECUTIVE MANIPULATION.THEY NEED TO BE PHOTOGRAPHED/FINGERPRINTED N THEIR DNA TAKEN TO HELP THE REGULATORY BODY TRACE THE ROGUE OFFICERS WHO ARE POLICE DURING THE DAY N AT NIGHT ARE LICENSED CRIMINALS.MOST CRIMES ARE EXECUTED BY WELL TRAINED SUSPECTS EITHER ON DUTY OR OFF DUTY OR ACCOMPLICE TO POLICE.

That is not "an Indian guy" that is Shakeel Shabbir, the Kisumu East MP, and the most effective mayor the country has ever had when he was Kisumu's. How I wish he runs and becomes the governor of my county - Kisumu.

investing in a chronically corrupt police force is a waste of scarce resources...why does it take private security under 20 minutes to answer distress calls and 2 hrs for the police?
lots time victims have to negotiate with robbers...to save themselves.
