"Rare" Early Kenny Chesney Recordings.
His music career started by playing tunes at local places around Johnson City like Chucky's Trading Post, a small Mexican restaurant,Quarterbacks BBQ and The TuLaFe college bar. He recorded his first album in 1991 at Classic Recording Studio in Bristol, Virginia. A thousand copies were made and Chesney sold them at his busking gigs. His album sales helped in buying himself a new Martin guitar.
@bcall123169 No!..only 1,000.00 copies sold at his local gigs ..I really wish he would release some of these..I have a copy of it .. but it's not very clear.. but I love it just the same cause it's Kenny!! Lucky people who have the orig..ones!....<3 Kenny!

It's not hard to see why he was first picked up in Nashville as a songwriter! I wish he'd sing some of these oldies today... I miss the "good old boy" from the Tennessee mountain home.

To answer my own question and for those who may be interested, I believe he did write this song, along with most of the songs that appear on the Good Old Boy at Heart album.
I wish he would re-release many of these songs, they are absolutely amazing! I love all his music but he seems to be getting away from using the violin in many of his recent songs. The violin in this song and "Where Did the Years go is awesome.

Awesome, he is truly gifted. I was wondering if he wrote a lot of the songs on the 1991 cd.
Thanks for posting these songs!

I was a KC fan in the early 90's. I knew he would become a star. Garth, George and Clint were the popular one's then. Now look!
