  • Decent 2 works on a vista? if not in wich does it?

  • The GOG version does, because GOG fix them up and sell them with permission.

    Just google GOG :)

  • I remember play this when I was a little kid, I would love to go back and play it... If my computer can play such an old thing.

  • That's why I love gog, 'cause I can play my old faves on bigger better machines :D

  • There's a little patch for Decent I & II to make the engine OpenGL ready. By today it doesn't really matter when it comes to the framerates. But it's kinda nice to have smoothed surfaces (Trillinear filtering / Anisotrophic). And to be capable to use AA on the game.

Just query in google for Decent OpenGL

  • Will do :)

  • the original score was much better. this was my first video game, we got a macentosh performa that came with it around 94-95

  • @Undeadspiral I am pretty sure DXX Rebirth also works, and if you have an old descent disk you dont have to buy the game again. Works with D1 and D2

  • The reason for the mouse being not sensitive enough is because the ship has a turning speed limit in the first 2 games, so you can't turn around instantly.

  • Man, these games were awesome. Looking back now, god i don't remember those graphics being so awful.

  • descent 2 is my fav

  • I used to make levels for Descent 2 (because 2 has a larger enemy-selection and such). Great game, and I had loads of fun with it as a kid, even though it can be quite confusing to navigate sometimes.
