the viewer count says 10 thousand,is that all ? wow that is truly sad. the youth of america have no idea what is going on and no contact with the past, or only a very few of them do...this is truly great music here and no one is seeing it...amazing. its been here on youtube since may 2007. older folks like me - i am 55- you might as well forget about passing the baton on to the young-- they arent even in the stadium any more where we are running the track meet.Not my fault.Lets blame the coach.

I think it isn't that bad, because the name has been misspelled, so it's actually not accesable for those who perticular look for Big Brotther and the H olding Compa ny. This was done on purpose, since youutupe delete many other great footage. Glad it's still up here and alive:-)

Inventive, creative, raw, beautifully underproduced and REAL music. Great musicians and Janis, so soulful and powerful. Back when it was acceptable to be talented, not the best looking, and into the music for the sake of the performance.

@skunkhead2006 George Gershwin wrote Summertime in the 1930's and it was a jazz standard of the day. Original does not sound like Big Brothers version . They made it magic

Only problem I have with Big Brother is I can barely handle watching because of Janis Joplins demise.

It was the Summer of Love 1968, Big Brother and the Holding Company was playing at the Cheetah Club on the Pacific Ocean Park Pier, Venice Beach, California..What an amazing concert, only problem was there was to much smoke in the air and not the cig kind. Eric Burton and the animals and Pacific Gas and Electric along with some local band. All day long, Ball and Chain was her best....miss you Janis
