they'll never work (at least not where i come from: minnesota). they don't work below freezing. the water vapor in the exhaust freezes the cell and you can't get it started unless you plug it in all day long, which is pretty much impossible. and not to mention they're very flimsey little membranes, so it would be breaking down all the time driving down rough highway 83 to mankato every day. vibration may be good for a woman's vagina, but not a fuel cell car.

The people that want this to come to reality and those who accepted aren't technically informed people, they are, just as the driver relationship manager for GM put, "Comfortable, Simple, and common." Which is basically stupids. Anything that is with-in a comfort zone won't challenge you.

Great video.

the hydrogen fuel cell car will never work

The hydrogen in this vehicle is being provided by an external source and stored into tanks inside the vehicle which (in my opinion) makes them extremely dangerous.
I didn't understand what you meant by "made on demand" but if you mean breaking down water into hydrogen and oxygen (whitch would be safe, economic, ecological, etc etc...) i think it has allready been successfully created but the guy building it died before he could publish his work.

cyberlord64 if hydrogen is made on board,on demand, the explosioon issue is significantly reduced.

yeah but if god forbits you crash a car with h2 fulecells you are gonna fry everything around you (along with yourself) and if there are other h2 cars closeby then... you get the picture.come to think about it it's like you are sitting on a hydrogen bomb! I personally prefer the pneumatic (air) motor technology. Much safer, faster refuling and if a hybrid pneumatic-electric car will be made it should get decent milage.

i'd like a more technical and informative video of this car

Before they redesigned the equinox GM should have made it look like the Hydrogen prototype, it looks beautiful

Sunlight is free, but not the equipment to gather it is costly. Better to use efficient batteries at 85% efficiency, rather than electrolysis and fuel cell at 24% efficiency!
Also, fuel cells and H2 storage costs a LOT more than batteries.
So when can I buy one?
