Teacher Hates Homosexuality

I'm speaking out against the Indiana teacher, Diana Medley, who not only openly supports the local church's decision to fund a separate 'traditional prom' than the school funding prom, gays not welcome, but openly says that she doesn't feel gay people have a purpose in life. As a school councilor she should care about the problems of her students, all of her students, but she says too that she doesn't care if they are gay. This is the kind of woman teaching children. I wouldn't wish this kind of education on anyone personally.

Christianity shouldn't be about hatred, or bigotry, or finding things in the bible to support your viewpoint. If you say your message is that of love and acceptance, but practice the opposite, then that is the message you send.

I firmly support all sexualities, and religions, and feel that as a nation that is constantly striving for betterment, that we should all do the same. I can only hope that the children of this school do not feel oppressed, and that the adults of this town who either are gay themselves, or are who accept homosexuality, can help these children stand tall and proud.

Screaming profanity makes everyone a better person! In fact it even gives you the right to say I'm trying to "bash on people that are different than YOU" even though I thoroughly explained that Gay sex is, in the bibles view, as bad as premarital sex.

Both are bad in God's eyes but the level of hate Gay sex receives if way stronger than what hetero's receive. That's pure homophobia.

To be correct they prefer "little people" as the term midget often refers to a person in the circus, otherwise referred to as a freak.

So insensitive Donna. BTW- Donna of course little people can have babies, it can occasionally be a health risk for some little people, but they can in fact have babies. I think before you make a statement you should know a little bit about the subject.

First there are many places in the bible which speak to homosexuality, so this degreed person you spoke too must have gotten his/her degree off the internet.

2. Just like it is the right of the homosexual to be what he/she wants to be, it is the right of people to not agree. So bloviating on about this teacher makes you a hypocrit.

I love how you're all bringing in quotes from the Bible, pointing out the sins of gays when you obviously have forgotten that the humans, at least of planet earth will never be free of sin as you are sinful yourself, it doesn't make it right for you to point out the visible sins of someone else just because hours are invisible. Our church has an "alt prom" for straight couples only. I live in a 2000 person town in South Georgia. As a gay Christian teenager, it hurts to see this going on in my community.
