Kennedy told LBJ to go to Vietnam to make an assessment within a week after Kennedy's chicken shit mistakes during the Bay Of Pigs.
The USSR smelled weakness and was prepared to exploit it.
So who won? The US military industrial complex made a fortune. And all the thieves along the way. The US government learned a lesson, get rid of the draft. It causes civil unrest.
