Texas taxpayers have footed the bill for a 53% increase in public education spending the last decade, even though enrollment has gone up only 15%. The result? http://EmpowerTexans.com to learn more about the Texas budget and how to get involved. SAT scores are down and the public is getting wise to the scam.

  • I agree, time for parents and taxpayers to speak up! Great job of quantifying the increased costs of public education in relation to the relatively small growth in enrollment and declining tests scores.

  • Best quote in the video... "apologists for the public education bureaucracy!!!!!" That is awesome. The question is, will anyone in public service ever go after those apologists, teacher unions, and the administrative leviathans in Texas? It's time that someone does.

  • Public education breeds children with the herd mentality. They prepare children to be future slaves of corporate America, where conformity is king over individualism. They don't encourage free thinking, they teach a falsified white washed version of history, they force children to learn in ways that may not be beneficial to a child's individual learning needs. Research Finland's public education, that is education of the whole child.

  • Education has always been and always will be the responsibility of the parents. The federal and state govts. can't even manage their own affairs like responsible adults so what makes the American people believe the state is qualified to educate children??? Home education works and is the best idea!

  • @74u73hjd you understand this because of--guess what--a teacher.

  • Do schools kill creativity? If creativity was a person schools would be it's concentration camp! I think that young people are going through a creativity holocaust perpetrated by teachers especially ones who hate their jobs. Everyone who agrees this is a disgusting inconvenient truth give me a thumbs up. BTW I'm only twenty years old and I understand this.

  • By your own numbers, money for public education has only gone up 5.2% per year. That is barely above inflation and hardly out of line. How do you expect to teach kids in this a hi-tech world without proper funding? Does this guy want to go back to kids writing on chalk tablets like on Little House? If anything, school funding has not been increasing enough. This guy is just your typical cheap greedy Texian who doesn't what to pay his own share in life.

  • Fantastic Video. Very Informative.
