Excelent, I love the analogy of a thinking mind to an addicted mind...

What a most peaceful place you seem to be at.
Truly beautiful.
About letting go of thinking, I have a question. What about people that feel the need to keep thinking all the time because we live in such a demanding world.
We are forced and pressured all the time to have to care about many things like career, friends, relationships, etc. Feeling that those things are truly important, how can one let go of them? We keep thinking because we believe it is the path to providing the best answers.

I was A smoker for 7 years. I lost interest so I haven't been smoking for A year. I will start again if I gain back my interest.

You take an object of your thinking, and exhaust that thought until we become dissatisfied with it. So the idea is to become dispassionate about physical objects and thoughts. With awareness we can watch our thoughts without becoming attached to them.
