This is HL1 definition HL2 stuff.

I downloaded this on FileFront, but it's not there anymore. I, however, found some links on another video about having HL2 weapons in HL1. But you need to register in order to download.

  • You can't just put the models from HL2 to HL1, at least not the original one. Come on, it's on another engine! And the models in the video are custom, they are not right from HL2, you can see it.

  • @gordonkris Well whoever told you that was either lying or just stupid, because I know that HL1 models use a different format than HL2's, and HL1 needs the model textures to be packaged inside the model.

    Besides, HL2 models require not only the .mdl, but also 3 .vtx's, a .phy, and a .vvd, unlike HL1's which are just .mdl files, and for HL2 models, the textures are outside the model, so that tactic wouldn't work at all.

    So I'm guessing whoever told you that was either stupid or was lying :P
