Aratrika Institute of Performing Arts is a dance institute based in Mumbai and fully dedicated to promoting Odissi dance forms with an enthusiastic fervor for the past 3 years.
The epic poem Kanupriya by renowned Hindi poet Padmashree Dr. Dharamvir Bharati is presented in a dance ballet collaborating both Odissi and Bharatnatyam styles.The poet here has attempted a beautiful description of the relationship between Radha and Lord Krishna from the point of view of Radha. This poem highlights Radha's feminine innocence and her unending love towards Krishna.
It was a great honour for us when Smt Pushpa Bharati herself requested us to present Kanupriya in the form of a dance ballet on the birth anniversary (25th December, 2009) of Dr. Dharamvir Bharati as a tribute to his unmatched contributions to the Hindi literature.
