Man I miss those days so much. In a short decade wrestling has gone from bigger then it ever was, to barely surviving.

He's talking about how the commentary - the exchange between Paul E and Joey Styles - sold the drama of the program with Dangerous Alliance and Terry Funk. They sold the need for fans to watch the main event at the Saturday show. No one "talks the fans into the building" like that any more. The commentary (and most promos) in WWE now are self-indulgent and do nothing to get fans to buy PPVs or come out to the arenas.

Ahhh Paul E. Dangerously... His creative mind is indeed missing in wrestling, but what PWI is alluding to here is the FIRE in which Paul delivered this promo. When was the last time ANYTHING in WWE or TNA was conveyed in such a serious tone or manner? THIS IS PRO WRESTLING GOD DAMMIT.

@15HDTv Unless Dixie Carter gives him all the control for booking, angles, promos and talent, there is no way in hell I would want him in TNA. For Christ's sake they have BISCHOFF and HOGAN. It's even WORSE if they have Russo there. I can see it already, WCW Jr.
