This massive warehouse fire broke out in the 4200 block of Dan Morton Dr around 10 AM on Saturday, August 13, 2011. Upon arrival, units immediately called a second and third alarm. Witnesses report a explosion in the building followed by the collapse of a wall and roof. This fire was fought using defensive measures from the exterior. Several ladder trucks were used in aerial operations.

The warehouse housed pool chemicals, thus there was a concern about the possibility of airborne contaminants. The Dallas Hazmat Taskforce was called to the scene. The smell of pool chemicals was evident several miles northeast of the fire.
