what are the dimensions of this bodhran? I'm thinking of getting a new bodhran. i think i want a 15, but don't know if I should go for a 14 oR 16? any advice?

It's a14 by 5, like a typical Snare drum. I feel that smaller bodhrans 14,15, 16 are easier to control, get nicer high pitched sounds and can still have a good bassy sound. I use Seamus O'Kane on this concert, I also have two bodhrans from Bill Wright, they are also wonderful, there is a new guy that makes great bodhrans, Christian something is his name, look for him too.
All the best

thanks. is there much difference in getting a 14x5 or 15x5. Those are the 2 that I'm thinking about

not a massive difference between them, don't be afraid of getting the small one, I would go for that one, paying for more wood and skin doesn't mean that it will be better. I would even dare to say that 14 is the modern standard size for professional bodhrans. Enjoy!!!
