Revver, wealth does not need to be created in this recession. Jobs do.
Secondly, a government is no different from a private sector job in what it creates. If it develops infrastructure, it will spur growth by easening logistics and quickening transporation. If it is in energy production.... it produces energy... which is a good and thus is wealth...
Tax reductions will NOT work. The recession is too great for them to make a significant difference. They've not worked for 8 years, not now

Government created jobs require tax dollars and do not create wealth. What you don't see is how the tax dollars could have been spent for production in the market place.
Stimulate the economy with tax reduction. Allow the money to be used in the economy. Jobs will then be created.
As a small business owner, if I kept all tax dollars that are created by my business, I would be able to double my staff, invest in capital and expand my business. and create...JOBS JOBS JOBS!!!
