Chandan is a Adjunct Professor for Marketing at Aegis. He is former Director of System Builder Channels (SBC) at Microsoft. He is an B.E. in Computer Science, MANIT, Bhopal and an PGDM/MBA from IIM Bangalore with over 13 years of experience in managing and setting of Distribution channels as well as other route to markets for a wide portfolio of Industrial, IT related, commercial as well as consumer products. He has hands-on-experience in working closely with this community of resellers/ partners/ sub distributors as well as distributors and has been involved in appointing, setting up and running successful channel organizations.




In his last role, he was the Director of System Builder Channels (SBC) at Microsoft, wherein he was responsible for driving the demand as well as Sales for Genuine Microsoft Software through the Channels/ resellers/ partners. He is credited for the successful launch of Windows 7 through the System Builder Channels and was also involved in setting up the formal Sub Distribution model in Microsoft India under the Associate Distributor program. Prior to Microsoft, he had done a series of successful stints in IBM spanning over 8 years across multiple locations. In his last role at IBM India, he was the Country Sales Manager of High Volume Business, x-Series Server. Therein, he took the Server Business to the Masses by creating a strategy around affordability and availability. He also did a three year stint at Tata Steel wherein he was responsible for the Tubes Division for Karnataka and Goa.




His vast experience can be chronicled under the following areas: * Channel Management * Industrial Sales * Business Strategy * P&L Management (Running Profit Centres Independantly) * People Management
