One of the members of the group I head, Artisan Soapcrafters Guild, on Facebook asked me to do a video of my Castile Buttermilk and Honey soap. This is a true Castile Soap made with 100% Olive Oil.

  • Soap made with love is the best soap, thanks for video :)

  • @Botanicalessentials Thank you!

  • Thank you for the recipe, I will try and make it. :)

  • @carolj561 I think you will go great!

  • Great video, do you really need a preservative? I have never added one to my milk soaps. Np problems yet.

  • @valbakke Because I sell my soap, I choose to put a preservative in it to be on the safe side. Anything that is organic in nature, such as fresh herbs, fruits, or dairy can grow bacteria. Some add a preservative and some don't. I choose to error on the side of caution. It is more of a personal preference.

  • Yep. Sounds edible to me!

  • @glvedio LOL - I wear the yellow gloves (and goggles) when I'm mixing the lye solution. The ones I use when putting the oils and lye water together are from a box a friend gave me of food handler gloves. They work fine and the price was right... FREE!

  • u must wear the yellow rubber gloves behind you that while u making soap..hehe :-)

  • @805Soap ♥~Thank you~♥
