Gerak tari tarian ni seakan-akan sama je dgn gerakan tarian mak yong dan tarian asyik d semannjung. Peralatan dn customenya juga hampir sama spri kuku jari pjg dn pakainnya.Mungkin ada persamaan disebabkan kerajaan srivijaya pernah memerintah tanah melayu sehingga ke sempadan bangkok.
yes...same with khmer dance...the sharp golden finger nails also. and almost all movements are very similar to Thai dances. But they move faster than in thai dances. If you trace back to the history of Srivijaya and it's culture, you'll find why they are both similar.
Thailand was a part of Srivijaya Empire if I'm not mistaken...They both are alike...look at the golden sharp nails the dancers wear in this dance...Thai dances also have that too...The language also...the Old Malay Language is Komering which is spoken in some parts in South Sumatra..they are almost the same with Thai Language...Look at the movement at minute 2:24. Khmer dance(Apsara) has that movement too...
sangat menarik '_'
