How long do you boil it?

Thanks for posting this, you have given me new inspiration to finish my guitar.
You make the whole process of side bending look easy and your use of the scraper is masterful.
I have been following the Sloan method also, and have everything built except the Boiling Trough....that's next....especially now I see you using one.
Have you ever had problems with the wood splitting at the ends when it dries? Just curious...
Thanks again

Excellent bending jig.

I'm following the Sloan method. Just made my boiling trough!

maybe it can help to do it faster. he does it very fast!

Hi, good job, can you tell me what thickness is the veneers what kind of wood is better for this.
Thanks.

That's a little too wet for me. When I bend sides I just spritz with water and use a hot pipe bender I built. 12" of pipe. goodwill waffle iron heating element, dimmer switch, square stock for legs, done. Works great!
Yeah, since when is boiling the wood required? I know people who do it dry, so this seems extreme to me.

Hi friend
You're right
There are many ways to bend woods, this is one very tradicional way.
I learned with my master Irvin Sloane, you can see it in his very famous book, Classical guitar construction.
It is very ease to bend, and I never lost one side.
Thanx to be watching this movie.
You can see more in my Youtube chanel.
