This Works! - completed successfully with Colin McRae Rally 3 (LBA 1.3million). One thing to note is that you do the disc swapping in the very initial stages of the PS2 booting up after the 'playstation' logo has disappeared etc. If you are on game menus then you have gone too far, restart the console and start again! Thanks for posting, now I can watch AVI's and make much more use of this console which has been nothing but an ornament for the last few years :)

successfully completed with state of emergency. it is kind of a pain in the ass because you cannot see the laser through the disc but the LBA of the boot file is over 2 million so it's at the very edge and you can see when to swap. great videos.

THIS REALLY WORKS!!! Thank for everything. Took me a long time but I followed everything you did and say down to the last details and I now have a softmod PS2. Oh and I used the game Grand THeft Auto 3. It has an LBA of over 1 million.
