I think a lack of black players in snooker may come down to lack of role models? Look at the Williams sisters, a friend of mine works at a tennis academy in Florida, she says female black students have gone from about 5% of the academy population 10 years ago to over 30% now, and it's down to young black girls wanting to emulate Venus and Serena.
