The Chattanooga Police Department released traffic camera video of Jessie Wright running one red light while taking his wife to the emergency room on Wednesday, June 16.
The video shows Officer Daves nearly colliding with Wright's vehicle as it drove through the intersection.
All charges were dropped against Wright by District Attorney Bill Cox, while an Internal Affairs investigation continues into how the incident was handled by Officer Daves, who is on paid administrative leave.
@jorgebarbajr Alright what exactly happened was the guy never pulled over and kept going to the emergency room because his wife was having a stroke. When they got to the hospital the guy got out of the car and ran to get his wife and the officers backup hadnt arrived yet. the husband and wife were almost to the hospital door wen the officer stepped in front of them then arrested the husband never asking what the medical emergecy was

From the description I'm guessing the cop didnt let the guy get to the emergency room. If I was the cop and saw it was an emergency after stopping the guy, which is also why the guy ran the red light I would escort him to the emergency room to get his wife treated and then give him the ticket for running the red light. As far as the near collision . . . who cares, it did not happen. (o_O)
