  • oh to have Louis Armstrong your uncle or grandpa and sit in his lap and have him tell this story...unforgettable Sachmo...now that I've heard this...no other version comes close in quality...the genius of Mr Louis Armstrong--thanks for posting

  • It’s incredible how Louise Armstrong speaks and sings. One and only one. Would you ever pass this world again to see and hear the beautiful things you created with your “What a Wonderful World”? You were just a genius …Sunny

  • Sachmo Claus. Beautiful.

  • This is just great. :-)

  • I've always loved Louis Armstrong..he's such a jazz legend..but hearing him read this Christmas Classic just warmed my heart. .I agree with raymonko...It's simply smile-worthy hearing that beautiful raspy and rough voice as he says the words " heard (hoid), turning(toining), word (woid), encircled (encoicled).. Such a charming and warm man, he was!.He would have been the most wonderful symbol of Santa Clause..I like his voice even better than the "typical" Santa sound..

  • @ExodusPessoa he didn't invent jazz, but he changed it forever, he was the first musician to streamline soloing- before him it was all about collective improvisation, he broke that trend and basically invented the solo improvisation and that's what jazz has been about ever since- he is only more well known to the general public as a singer/entertainer, but his real contribution and genius was his mastery over the trumpet

  • I'm straight as an arrow, but I gotta say that Louis Armstrong's voice is something enchanting

  • the king of jazz, period, now dash away.dash away. dash away all........
