I'm not a fan of hip hop (this is my opinion) but the lyrics are true.

Is rapping in-and-of-itself is sinful? Nah...
What youve said is like me saying: " I used to curse and speak about filth a whole lot, and now God saved me and cleaned me up. I cant go back to what I used to do and try to offer it to God. He's now using me to do things from him and for him. And therefore ((I will never even speak)) again." This was just an illustration to help you see that you see that God evaluates the content and the motivations of our actions.

All you guys that's trying to bring the world in the church, consider your ways. Why? We must be separate! We got to be filled with the holy ghost! The devil knows what's holy and what's not.

So his music changed. But Gods music never changed. Jubal had an evil spirit but David played holy music with a heart for God.
-
Jesusmakeupmydyinbed, yes my praise my worship my Thanksgiving is worthy to give to God because my heart is is right. By the way Jubal didn't invent stringed instruments, God did and he gave it to Lucifer. But Lucifer's heart changed.

@TyHutch1978 Do you think you can offer anything that is worthy of God. Even your tears of repentance need to be washed in the blood of Christ. Also something for you to consider...The man who invented the stringed instrument was Jubal (Gen 4:21) who was the seed of Cain and who did not worship the LORD. And yet David played a stringed instrument and used the accompaniment of stringed instruments with the Psalms. Was it wrong of him to offer that music to Heaven?

my bottom line is based on the song's lyrics. If I can't sing it in front of everybody, I won't sing it in front of anybody! If any of you listen to shai linne's "Letter From The Grave", which is similar to the parable of Lazarus and the rich man in Luke Ch. 19, you will be hard pressed to tell me that the music is the domineering force. Instead, the music perfectly complements what shai is saying. Yes, the beat is awesome, but I wouldn't want the beat without the lyrics. Be Blessed!

every now and then. shai is well versed in the Scriptures and you'll hear it if you listen with your hearts. You won't see him trying to look like a gangster either. There are artists I stay away from; not necessarily because I feel they're sinful, but because they just don't get my attention. All Christians don't listen to all kinds of Christian music. I primarily listen to Gospel/Contemporary Christian music but I also listen to some jazz, some pop, some country. Regardless of the genre,

You are deeming something sinful that the Bible doesn't say is sinful. The Bible is against ((sin))...
1. How does rapping about the Lord offend God enough for you to call it "worldly"???
Keep in mind that the Bible is ((against sin)) not style preferences; which change over time across many cultures..

Listen to the song.. The main point of the song is about Christ ((who is Holy)) therefore this song is not worldly or sinful.

As peculiar people and strangers passing through, we don't need things the devil use to win souls. I believe you should use your gift with the influence of hip hop.

"Influence of hip hop"... Please tell me what that is... Is there a concrete defiinition or does the definition of the "influence of hip hop" change according to who is defining it?

That's a bad illustration because speaking is not what's on trial, hip hop is. You are talented don't get wrong. Its the whole culture of hip hop that I disagree with. The mannerism, slang, and dress. He tells us to come out from among them and be separate.

Speaking is not wrong, but speaking about filthiness is wrong.
Rapping is not wrong, but rapping about filthiness is wrong.
Thats the point. Its the content and motivations behind what you do that determine if its sinful or not.
