Strange things happen during the "Twilight Zone" on the Geelong line...
After the boom gates went down at this level crossing in country Victoria I found myself waiting with no sign of a train in either direction. I waited, and waited, then out of of nowhere the ghostly vision of a V/line "N class" locomotive and passenger carriages went by. Odd. Very odd indeed.

cool. i always think it is so random seeing boom gates in the middle of nowhere (but i know they are there for safety reasons obviously). Thanks.

The day this was filmed I was within eyesight of this crossing for 16hrs solid. In all that time only 1 car crossed it - mine!

About 1/12 of a second or thereabouts I would guess.

Shutter was at 1/33 and filmed at 25fps. Additional post processing was used to get the extreme motion blur effect.
