On January 14, 2008 a memorial was held at NYC's St. Peter's Church for Carlos "Patato" Valdez who passed away on December 4, 2007. Instruments supplied by LP®. This video was shot by LP® founder and creator of the Latin Percussion Jazz Ensemble, Martin Cohen that brought both Carlos "Patato" Valdez and Tito Puente on tours around Europe and Japan. Patato was the 2nd endorser of the LP® brand and there is a line of congas named after him.
The bata players are Gene Golden, Roman Diaz and Pedro "Pedrito" Martinez. VISIT THE NEW CONGAHEAD.COM FOR MORE VIDEOS
