June 6, 2010 -- Wounded warriors on a USO-Metro hospital services excursion attended WMZQ fest at Jiffy Lube Live. After a VIP meet and greet with Montgomery Gentry, the band welcomed a group of wounded warriors on-stage during their hit song "Something to Be Proud Of."
USO-Metro supports service members and their families who are recovering and receiving treatment at Walter Reed Army Medical Center, National Naval Medical Center, and Warrior Transition Units at Fort Meade, Fort Belvoir and the Hunter Holmes McGuire Richmond VAMC. USO-Metro supports these military heroes and their families through programs including celebrity handshake tours, emergency food and housing assistances, on-site concerts by well-known entertainers, excursions, as well as therapeutic and adaptive activities.
