  • I had with optimum's shitty speeds. Switched to fios and got a two year price agreement. We recently got our triple play renewed to 69.99 by telling the fios rep over the phone that we will switch to optimum. Sick 30 dollar discount with better internet.

  • @ApFaqTech Yes, I had done the same thing, my bill for the Ultimate HD package (with all movie packages, HBO, Showtime, Encore, Epix, etc), 1 Home media DVR, 6 HD set top boxes, Ultimate Internet (35/35 Mbps), and Freedom VOIP is only $158 with taxes and fees out the door. You absolutely CAN't beat that price.

  • ughhh i want FIOS SO BAD! but there is no service in my area :(

  • I have cablevision and i pay for 30 but i will be lucky to get 10 mbps

  • @daybreak1HP exact same for me to bro :)

  • Yo know now they have a new offer of cable vision.I saw the cermercial on tv.and u get a free app.the lady said you can go out Side and and the wifi will work.she said they have a new box now.it's a samsung.I looked it up and it look good.it slimmer.and sh said when u plug it it,it will boot faster now.I guss on all boxes.I only hate the graphics of it.and I guess u get free hd.

  • @daybreak1HP Let me know how you like it. I am THROUGHLY satisfied. I think that they even have updated routers for N-wireless and new cableboxes that are improved.

  • @popbaby101 I can't really say that I have had any issues recently with all three services cutting out on optimum or Fios. A few years back it would have been a much different story. Optimum service was the pits! But it seems that they have been upgrading the network (or maybe just relieving some congestion with all the Fios switchers, haha!) and it has been noticeably more reliable (I would still give Fios the edge though).

  • @jctevere They simply gave ti to me right off the bat, without any bargaining, much better than the fight with

Cablevision. And, when you compare what my grandma pays ($110 for bare bones packages, slowest data, 2 cable boxes, no extra movie channels) with my Fios Ultimate package (virtually every HD, SD and movie channel packages, with 35/35 mbps internet and freedom telephone with 7 cable boxes (1 being home media DVR) its an absolute no brainer!

  • @jctevere ... I didn't expect to recieve anything as I was signed into a 2 year contract that isn't up until March 2012 (Fios had you sign contracts when they first came out, but now they are no contract). And they lowered my monthly payment $60 a month. I used to pay $210 a month including taxes for Fios (I have their very best package and many cable boxes as well as the Home Media DVR). And now I only pay $145 a month for their service. GREAT DEAL! And I didn't even have to extend my contract.
