This is what the crowd of Purple ticket holders devolved into at the Purple Gate at Barack Obama's inauguration on 1-20-09 around 11am. Many people traveled far and wide to see this historic event only to be let down in a most grievous way by bureaucracy. I can't even imagine what it was like in the tunnel.... Who's fault is this?
Direct your letters to Diane Feinstien. I'm going to write one too.

Also was the same on the Blue Gate. Three hours in unorganized crowd, no movement, doors closed at noon, and many tear-eyed people. Was very confusing to be until I read the jacket uniforms of the gates' security officials: "TSA"
