I heard it best when Mr. Newman said to the effect, "When you have steak at home why would you go out for a hamburger?" How hard can it be to believe that a man truly can love his wife for 50 years?
I know of a gentleman who has loved his wife for nearly 42 years and has been wholly devoted to her from the 1st day of their marriage. I'm proud to say that gentleman is my father.

@Pinktissues no problem but it doesn't surprise me people do that to Ms Woodward as she was almost named Joan after her mothers favorite actress Joan Crawford but it was changed to Joanne

Met Paul once by coincidence in '73 during his filming of "The Sting" & after mild shock of getting to meet one of fav actors, happen to be of non-Jewish faith BTW, remember vividly how our opinions on war differed as he was adamantly against it; was deeply impressed however by this humble, classy & down to earth individual.
Rumors here on UT abound personally, don't believe; theirs was one the most enduring marriages.

@frickadele Again I watched the film and enjoyed it! Im not talking about the production side haha what a jerk off! what the fuck difference does it make how the lighting is arranged or where the sound engineers are hahaha, you must be a real looser! haha Don`t get me wrong I have respect for all the production and time and effort put into films, but in terms of the movie itself is a great watch!

Paul Newman didn't write the words for "Cool Hand Luke".
He didn't set up the cameras to make himself look....cool.
When people start believing that actors are cool...
just because they're in movies that someone else wrote,
some one else directed...someone else made the lights
look pretty on you....then the audience are schmucks.
But then again....Hollywood ALWAYS knew the the majority
of the audience were stupid sheep.
