if you read the description, its supposed to be a birthday card. the CD is not meant to be listened to (^_^)
-
you can't listen to a cd with that picture double sticky-taped to that cd. other than that, great idea!

i have that exact book! :)

@NancyToday Take sharpie marker and write a nice message on the "playable" side so the recipient knows not to try playing it. They will realize it's a father's day CARD and not ment to be played.

There exist easily obtainable CD labels for that purpose and they have glue all over the back, these labels will not harm the CD and you can burn and use it as a normal CD (even the re-writeable ones). Take a look at i.e. Avery.com and search for i.e item no. J8676-12, those are the labels ("full face") that i currently have and if you are having trouble aligning the center holes i am sure they probably will have some kind of mounting guide available too. But apart from that nice video!

i love it

if you put on a thin gentle layer of rubber cement, instead of that tape, and make the hole a little bit bigger so it doesn't get stuck on the cd rotor it can be used and recorded on :)

How do you let the recipient know not to try playing the cd?

Though I am a librarian and I wouldn't do that to any of my books _>.<_ I love your idea and especially the fabric ribbon final touch, thank you very much for sharing ^_^

YEAH!!!!
The song in the soundtrack of this video is the old time "fidelity filter" from before the 1940s. This is the type of music I am into.
So, you can check out my YouTube channel, and you can check out some old time EQ tweaks of songs on there, since they are just worth listening to.
Fantastic! Shiho I love this idea. I am going to have my HS art students make these!
