'EL RAPERO' - (The Rapper) SYNOPSIS

"If Forrest Gump lived at the 8MILE in the CITY OF GOD and his uncle was Tony Montana (Scarface), you'd meet Jin...This is his story, a true story."

Based on the real life 'bio-epic-drama' that follows the roller coaster life of a Latin artist. When Jin arrives in the United States as a teen from a third world country (Dominican Republic), he must immediately face insurmountable difficulties. Among them, a language barrier, fighting dyslexia in the classroom, maintaining himself and his loved ones safe while working in the family's heavy cocaine/heroine business at home and trying to keep out of trouble by playing sports. While dealing with the average teenage challenges and insecurities, Jin discovers the gift of music as a result of the murder of his first love. This hidden music gift leads him to get discovered by a Latin pop superstar but too much too soon, his lack of business education finds him mismanaging his career and love life. Jin loses everything and ends up living homeless and alone in the streets. Refusing to give up, he 'makes it big' a second time, this time his trust in false friends leaves him used and betrayed. His biggest challenge is figuring out how to re-invent himself to get back to the top while struggling to find a balance between being a father, dealing with a tumultuous love life, the pain of his mother's cancer and becoming the man he believes he is destined to be, by sharing the sound that will define a new generation.

This a compelling story about a dreamer working tirelessly to overcome obstacles against all odds on his own pursuit of happiness and reaching for his dreams while searching for true unconditional love.
