i have bug with VLc but thanks =)

i'm using the vlc option. but i have a later version of vlc (1.0.6) and when i convert the video instead of being 6 mins 16 seconds long it's 5 mins 16 seconds it's simply speed up and is terrible. aka HELP what have i done wrong?

Good idea, I've been using Hand Break to convert to MP4 and it gave me trouble every now and then.

@gotbletu I'm not justifying whether copyright laws are bad. I'm just saying the fact that Canonical is very cautious about this. Cautious enough to put codecs in question into a separate repository.
P.S. I _hate_ copyright laws.

Codecs themselves are OK but their usage may mean legal issues for users and distro developers.

Yeah, when I first watched this I thought the software must be called DVD, and it took me ages to realise the software was called DEVEDE! Very helpful after I'd sorted that out though.
