We have to look at Exxon Mobil's profit margins...not there profits. There profit margins are standard, meaning that while they are turning out a record profit, it is normal considering their profit margins. And why shouldn't they be allowed to make a profit? They are heavily taxed by the government, meanwhile exxon mobil is the one that explores, drills, and brings the product tot he pumps. The government just takes there share, which is a higher percent than the company gets per gallon.
