The Last Airbender Cast Update: Iroh, Zhao and Ozai have been cast!!!!

The latest cast update (as of March 13th 2009) for M Night Shyamalan's upcoming film, The Last Airbender.


Cast (so far)-

-Noah Ringer as Aang

-Nicola Peltz as Katara

-Jackson Rathbone as Sokka

-Dev Patel as Zuko

-Shaun Toub as Iroh

-Jessica Jade Andres as Suki

-Aasif Mandvi as Zhao

-Cliff Curtis as Ozai

-Keong Sim as Earthbending Father (whatever that means. It's most likely Haru's dad though).

Later Added Cast-

-Seychelle Gabriel as Princess Yue (rumored)

-Katharine Houghton as Kanna

-Ben Cooke as Roku

I saw it tonight....and Didn't care for Iroh. Everyone else seemed pretty well casted, but Iroh was not jolly, fat or wise enough. I miss his deep scratchy voice and huge gray chops!

@slavaplaybball I saw the midnight premiere. Surprisingly, Iroh was one of the only two characters that I had no disappointment in. The other character that I had no disappointments in was Zuko. Dev Patel was AMAZING!

The Kyoshi Warriors aren't going to be in the movie, so possibly Suki isn't either

@ThetrueBallgurl97 Yeah, Suki and the Kyoshi Warriors were both cut out of the final version of the film, even though there were actresses cast for them and they had even filmed scenes with them. There will probably be deleted scenes on the DVD or something.

Of course M. Night Shamalongadingdong would cast a bunch of Haji's and Crackers to play as characters based on Chinese folklore... I have to hand it to you Hollywood... You sure know how to fuck with my childhood and culture.

It's MY opinion, but the movie was an absolute let down for me... Especially the casting.
