Intense Lightning Storm & Lightning Over The Ocean- Myrtle Beach, SC (July 5th, 2002)

I was actually on vacation, and not a storm chase vacation when I shot this video. Little did I know that after a long day of fun and sun that I'd capture some great lightning. I was hoping that we'd see a good thunderstorm while I was there, and my prayers were certainly answered! The first part of this video was shot from the 12th floor balcony of our hotel (The Coral Beach Resort). The view was looking towards the northwest as the storms approached Myrtle Beach. The second part was shot from the beach looking eastward as the storms moved out over the ocean waters.

u sure the firework wasnt a power line arcing from the lightning bolt? i seen a yellow light, might have been a transformer blowing up.

@c0rrupts3ct0r555 Oh yes definitely, the shot you're referring to was definitely a power transformer strike. But, you can see some fireworks going off too, especially at the end of the video when I was on the beach. Thanks for watching!

i love lightning it lights up the night like day so you can see and it is most natural way to kill some one just push them in to it when it strikes the ground ^^
