There is a Beach right next to Honolulu international. Government property. When I came to Port In hawaii on the USS Nimitz a couple buddies and I would go out on the beach and Watch the F-16's Take off

Its pretty cool

But of course being on an Aircraft Carrier and Seeing aircraft being launched gets you used to these things

Unless you were there when the thunderbirds flew you were probably watching the Hawaii Air National guards F-15's. They still scramble them on a regular basis. I watch them from my office near downtown.

The take off was nothing. The 9 g turn was a killer, without the g suit I would have blacked out.

Wow! Nice video. I had a very memorable flight flying in an F-16 there at Hickam AFB during Sentry Aloha. Talk about getting to 17000 feet in a matter of seconds. Perfect weather the whole time there. It was a great deployment.
