Josh Wright Piano TV - Pedal Functions. This episode explains the functions of each of the three pedals (una corda, sostenuto, damper) and the ways to most effectively use them. Examples are given. For questions or video requests, please email me at josh@joshwrightpiano.com
Hey Josh - I've seen some other people say this too - but I just wanted to add it.
It would be great if you could demonstrate your foot movements during the "melting pedal (love the idea btw, thank you SOOO much for this video!!!!)
Keep it up!

Thanks especially for including the "bad" version of the Ballade. Being able to hear it done improperly is super helpful!
Question - I've heard somewhere that Marcus Roberts says there are fifteen different pedal positions for the three pedals on a standard piano. I think he must be referring to combinations that can be produced by partially depressing multiple pedals to different extents, but I've never found anything specific about it.
Thanks for these videos!

I agree with Tom. Also, maybe some with/without pedal examples. Like when you played the Chopin piece with the Soft Pedal. Maybe play it once without the pedal and then with the pedal so we can hear the difference. Otherwise, great video! Thanks.

Hey Josh!
great video! however, in a video about such a subject i'd suggest a multi-camera video wuth angles such as:
1. The angle whivh you usually use.
2. zoom on the pedals and feet.
3. angle on the inside of the piano.
The examples given are great :-)
yours, Tom!
