This is a video I made using clips from the movie Of Human Bondage (1934) starring Bette Davis and Leslie Howard. The song is "Love Will Tear Us Apart" by Joy Division.
In Of Human Bondage, Bette Davis plays Mildred, who's really vicious and cold towards Philip, played by Leslie Howard. One of the things that I like about Bette Davis is that she wasn't afraid to act out unsympathetic characters, something many actresses feared doing at the time, and perhaps still do. And she plays the role perfectly - I don't think any actress could have played that role as well as she did.
