im getting one soon for 700 can you reduce the popping when its idling by using the idle control?

@xclusiv007 most of my moped vids have peds with non-stock pipes or baffles removed...also alot of them have the intake opened up or silencers removed..So the popping sound you hear is more pronounced then if they were left stock.

You win, man... Proof is in the pudding - TOMOS needs major fixing at 1000 miles on both are mopeds.. Let the people that see this argument decide whether they want lousy TOMOS.. I also suggest they go to a TOMOS forum and see all the issues these mopeds have with all the other people that have issues.. Dont appreciate your bringing my videos about the enviroment into this argument.. Has clearly nothing to do with the topic at hand, mopeds... Good Luck to you and Tomos

@triggerfivestar "Major fixing" is called maintenance, Man I wish I was your mechanic I could retire off your repairs...The topic at hand is My videos and your negativity towards their subject matter.... At least I didnt hate on them with Negative comments, so that everytime someone views them they see the hate,,,as you did mine, hows that for appreciation.

@triggerfivestar 7) see my vids, I had 2 Honda scoots and guess what, They had inherent problems that had to be addressed/redesigned, But I wouldnt blanket statement Honda scooters by saying HONDA=SUX because as a MECHANIC I know engines arent perfect, for if they were, I wouldnt be able to make a living.

8)How would you feel if I say (based on your vids) Mass. lakes and streams = SUX go somewhere else to enjoy nature. you know its not true they just need care/attention just like engines.

@triggerfivestar 5) I think Honda SCOOTERS are just fine however if you want to compare Japan mopeds then look at how many Honda PA II mopeds are still out there and see what condition they are in with a comparable Tomos moped.

6) The fact that Tomos is still making the Mopeds that you can buy new today should tell you of their abilities. And their mopeds that you buy today are the same basic design as you would have purchased back in the 70's with the slightest changes ( non-reed intake now)

@triggerfivestar 4) The moped I had that needed a cylinder at 900 miles was trashed on heavily, by no less than 10 different riders, all of them typical non-mechanic riders thinking you can just drive/ride whatever it is without ever doing any maintenance. This moped was a community/neighborhood ped, whoever needed it used it. Then it was sent off to college where it was used in the same manner by 10 different dorm residents to run errands. 1 out of the 10 didnt even know it used oil seperately.

@triggerfivestar 1) if you want to use base price then a Ruckus is $2500 base so its 40% more. So you are comparing a 2011 RX8(25000) to a 40% higher 2011 Camaro SS(35000).

2) your not a mechanic! In your videos you cant even identify a Straight six engine that is laying right in front of you.

3) You are comparing scooters with mopeds. They have completely different regulations that identify them as machines, hence quality standards are different based on their intended use buy consumers.

@Foxboss9 Base price on an LX and Streetmate is upwards of $1500 Yes, I'm comparing those prices.. For $600 more you get 100 times better quality with Japanese.. Your comparison sux - Corvette / Mazda are cars and they are upwards of $20K / 50K. It was my base gasket that blew out.. I broke my rings when trying to put the piston back in the cylinder. Thats the only reason I need new rings.. You assume way to much. Again, 900 miles ( you ) 1200 miles ( me ) = PROBLEMS.. TOMOS = SUX!
