Never before have I been so proud of the Johto pass. This battle really is its shining moment. The Heracross and Noctowl combo worked as well as I was hoping for, (though my re-EV'd Noctowl is slower than its predecessor, so now it's slower than Heracross), and Donphan's bulkiness is showed in this video as well. Unfortunately, (once again), Totodile is not featured in this battle, however, I have kind of changed up his play style as well. I decided to give Noctowl Heat Wave over Psychic for a little surprise factor, but Noctowl isn't going to be dealing out massive amounts of damage anytime soon.

On to the battle: This opponent scared the crap out of me. I couldn't tell if he was really a master, or had no idea what he was doing. I almost thought maybe he was hustling or trying to make me think he was a lesser player than he really was, but ultimately his plan failed because I go lightly on nobody.

I probably should have used Bayleef in place of Noctowl, but then without the Psycho Shift, Heracross would not have been guaranteed that KO on Torterra.

Please rate or comment! :)

I used: Noctowl, Donphan, Heracross, and Cyndaquil.
My opponent used: Vaporeon, Pachirisu, Staraptor, and Torterra.

  • hey whats the difference between a male heracross and a female? the male is pretty easy to catch but the female was insanely difficult

  • @iEssential It's just the horn that is different, the female's is heart-shaped while the male's is more of a spade-shape. I'm not sure why one was harder to catch than the other... Heracross has a low catch rate, so I'm guessing you got lucky with the male and extremely unlucky with the female.

  • I love that Psycho Shift combo you have. That's also an awesome Cyndaquil.

  • Thanks! I took me FOREVER to figure out what to do with Cyndaquil. Finally, I settled on the moveset that he has.

Unfortunately, I don't have a good video to show how much he can mess with an opponent who underestimates him and lets him either Swagger them to death or allows him to burn either Heracross or one of their physical sweepers. Its actually quiter humurous, lol.

  • Jokes on you, being burned lowers your attack!

  • @legotub heracross has guts with boosts attack when burned or other stuff

  • wats ur friends code

  • @Lulzy92 burn and poison both take away 1/8 of a pokemons max health every turn, and if a pokemon has guts it's immune to the atk halving effects of burn.

  • A physical Vaporeon I would like to see that happen

  • @legotub It's to activate its Guts ability. When a Pokemon with the ability Guts has a status problem, like when it gets Burned, Poisoned, Paralyzed, or when Sleeping (I think..), then its Attack power is increased.

  • wow, physical attacks on vaporeon and pachi... lulz
