In 2001, BCTV reported - "Much of what gets aired on the evening news can demoralize even the most cynical journalist: wars, crime, fires, less-than-honest politicians. Every now and then, however, journalists experience the joy of covering stories which seem like miracles. Such a story involved two-year-old Janelle Milne, a delightful little girl in Surrey, B.C. Deaf since the age of 10 months due to a rare condition known as large vestibular aqueduct syndrome, Janelle was recently given the gift of hearing when she had a cochlear implant placed in her inner ear."
Thank you so much for posting this. I don't live in BC so I only saw a little part of this before. I've known the Milnes for over 20 years and was thrilled to be able to see the whole segment at last.
