Incredible video of a rapidly rotating supercell just north of Santa Rosa, Argentina on January 5, 2010. This storm came so close to producing a tornado, with a textbook wall cloud and intense clockwise rotation. Note how the mesocyclone is rotating the opposite of what we have in the Northern Hemisphere. Video shot by JR Hehnly. Este tipo de tormentas en Argentina es totalmente normal.... no tiene nada que ver el cambio climatico... lo que pasa es que nadie informa sobre este tipo de cosas... pero siempre las hay.... saludos

It's a timelapse! J.R. had the camera on a tripod and just sped up the video.

It looked like the rotation was counterclockwise, though I know weather systems are clockwise in the southern hemisphere.

we are looking west at it! Note how the rain free base is on the north side. it's clockwise I promise!
