  • Hi, I used 5th most of the way but changed to 3rd on the steep last bit. It's a fair bit of effort but I'm quite a strong cyclist. The way the Panasonic system works, if I cycled a bit more slowly I'd get more assistance.

If you changed down to 1st gear and pedalled at not much more than walking pace, the effort would be almost zero.

Cycling's great isn't it, electric or not? How else do you get fit at your own pace and enjoy it?

  • Stop by the Roebuck at the top for a well deserved drink!!

  • @spogley Yep you are right, ciclying is absolutely great and I am happy I decided for an ebike to help me to get back into shape ;-) I enjoy your videos, most of the time I watch them on my Plex media center and there I have no option to leave comments. I didn't get a youtube message for your answer and just found it as I were looking again into your video collection :-)) Thanks for sharing and I can tell you.. my wife and I, we are missing England a lot ;-)

  • Hi David, you used the 5th gear? And how much muscle power did you have to put in? I just bought a Currie eZip and that is nowhere near the quality of your Kalkhoff ebike but I am happy to own my first pedelec ebike and hopefully can buy a Kalkhoff soon ;-) The first 10 Kilometers I made were embarrassing as my condition was terrible :-)) but now I did 97 Kilometers in 5 days and feel much better already ;-)
