Hope you enjoyed those classic commercials, gamers; 'cuz it's time for more fast-paced fun with The $20,000 Pyramid!! Pam's won her way into the Winner's Circle, and she's now going for a cool $10,000... Can Lou Grant's Robert Walden make a big winner out of Pam like he did for Ronnie? Let's check it out, peeps!! :-)

  • MG7x regular Avery Schrieber for Doritos.

  • ... and underrated '70s hottie, Louisa Moritz; who also did Match Game. :-)

  • I've never seen a reaction to a 10,000 win like this. I've seen tons of winners circle wins but this takes the cake.

  • Man, this lady doesn't mess around when she wins $10,000! First victory lap I've ever seen a Pyramid contestant take.

  • If I were in Robert Walden's shoes, I'd be cryin' like a little baby. Those big wins would just be overwhelming for somebody.

  • Robert: "I don't believe it ! Idon't believe it!" You better believe it. She got $10,000 in cold hard cash. Ten grand! Ten thousand dead presdients, baby!

  • 3:07 - 3:08 - BAM! She nailed it!

  • Scratch that

0:57 - Oh, stop cryin', big guy. Fleischmann's Margarine is good for weight and calorie concious people.

  • 1:00 - Oh, stop cryin', lard tub.

  • @RedNekLvr22 ...and has to try again for the second level ($15,000). And if the contestant fails the second time, the contestant can for the third level, the big one ($20,000). One slight caveat: the contestant MUST try to complete the Winner's Circle and win the top prize within the five days as champion because that was the limit. Also ABC game shows (like CBS) had a $25,000 winnings limit. The Bill Cullen version was a different subject.

  • @RedNekLvr22 Wrong, pal. The rules for the ABC version of Pyramid and its Winner's Circle were that if a contestant nails all 6 subjects in 60 seconds in the first run, the contestant wins $10,000 and retires undefeated as champion. But if the contestant fails to nail the 6 (or the celebrity mistakenly gives "clues that conveys the essence of the subject, i.e. synomyns, too many descriptive clues", use hands gestures, or give any part of the answer), he or she doesn't win the money...

  • @thegameshowguy You know I can vaguely recall seeing some video either on here or somewhere else where he read a letter I think. I had forgotten the exact subject though it was something on that line. But yeah, to offer a top prize and then only be able to win it if you lose twice before was just bad all around. I'm a huge Pyramid fan, but this is the one thing about the show that will always bug me.

  • @Many people thought this rule was awkward - Dick even once read a letter from a viewer. At least in later versions , this was fixed as winning at the WC from $50,000 Pyramid (1981) onward did not end your run.

Though $50K Pyramid and Donny's "Pyramid" were total of two games and out affairs.
