I love toms! But just curiously wondering why they are 80$ What makes them worth the extra 40$?

I figured they would be $40-$50 like the traditional Toms. I was actually planning on buying some today! But $80!? Come on, Toms. I'll stick with ones I can actually afford. I was so excited for these too...
