Based upon 1 Peter 2:24, this illustration helps communicate how Christ bore our sins in His body on the cross.

  • @monkeypuppet I think what it's saying is that being dead to sin, it can't affect us in our eternity, when you are dead to something it can't harm you. I've heard it put this way sin is a disease and Christ's sacrifice is our vaccine it can no longer affect us. We won't be held accountable for our sins in heaven because of His sacrifice. Hope this helps

  • A well-done, dramatic, inspirational video. But what does it mean to "die to sins"? Anybody out there dead to sinning? (Obviously the biblical answer is "no".) Anybody out there died to facing temptation to sin? (Again, obviously the biblical answer is "no".) If our being dead to sin means only the eternal consequences of death/separation-from-God are removed, then in what sense are we really dead to sin? [My main thrust = We can be excited about this verse yet never experience its truth.]

  • AMEN!!

  • To enter Heaven one has to be holy. This is only possible with the Grace of God, through faith in Jesus. God knew that without his Grace we will never live in holiness and never enter Heaven. To receive Grace we have to be reconciled to God. So Jesus died on the cross to reconcile us to God. Once reconciled and with our faith in Jesus, we are able to receive His Grace through the Holy Spirit who transforms and sanctifies our hearts over time so we can eventually live in holiness.

  • This is a truly awesome way of showing this!!!!

  • Jesus Christ, the God of the universe, the One who measures all of creation by the span of His hand, dwelt among men as a commoner so that He could suffer ridicule, endure abuse, experience rejection and sacrifice Himself for me. Me, a sinner of the lowest degree. He endured the cross because of the joy set before Him. He looked ahead in time and saw me. And He loved me anyway. How? How could that be? And yet He gave Himself for me. Makes the hair stand up on the back of my neck.

  • good work sir.
